It takes 5 minutes at least before the 940 will print what I send to it. Running from a laptop w/Windows XP, 1.7 ghz processor, big drive, and 1 gb memory. This is new. No viruses, registry is clean, disk does not need defrag. DiskClean has cleaned out a lot of rubbish. Still no better. Laserjet 3200 running off same computer is much faster to respond, but slow to find proper printer in dialog box when I click on HP3200.

First if you are using the printer conector istead of USB cable that is one reason the second one is the setings for your printer you can go to the printer properties click on advance check to start printing imediatelly and thats it

the moving ink frame is probably pointing to a symbol such as replace color ink( three dots on ink cartridge picture). Replace color ink. You are probably printing your black and white documents with colored ink--always select black or greyscale.
