My Toshiba P55-A512 Keyboard wont light up. Is a setting or a key to hit to make it light back up.

the issue could be with the settings of the keyboard or hardware..

check the kbd settings from the control panel, and bios.. see if that works

if you can get into windows with only mouse please reinstall drivers for keyboard if not start windows in safe mode (after POST screen keep tapping F8 and select SAFE MODE from menu , or simply hit LAST KNOWN GOOD CONFIGURATION - it will repair automatically)

I have Toshiba satellite a200 laptop when i turn on my laptop it has continues beep sound and it doesn't log in

check or change your ram first then also make sure that your keyboard is not having a stuck button.

Hi

From your description it sounds like the LED board underneath may be faulty in the sense that some of the LED's may have blown, this can be repaired but i advis that you take to a qualified engineer to assess and then replace

Hi,

Usually on the toshiba it is Fn and F2 or F4 the f key will have a coloured picture of an antenna with waves coming off of it.

Also most toshiba laptops have a physical switch on the edge of the case below the keyboard. Make sure that switch is on first then try the Fn and function key combo as they work together like a two way light switch. Both must be on for the card to be active.

This is a common problem for toshiba laptops, unfortunatly. Usually when this happens either your laptop charger is fried, or you will need to replace the actual laptop plug inside the laptop.

Did you upgrade the laptop to a new operating system?

Try pressing fn+Z see if that turns the lights back on.

I have seen this on laptops before you might try re seating the memory. I would also remove the battery from the laptop and see if it will start up on ac power only a bad battery will give you a similar symptom.
