But keep in mind that you've the software do his work and wait cause this process take up to 1 hour and 30 min. As you can see what EFS MEDIA BUILDER by AKOM1976 do is read the phone then you will see a map that you have to rename for the secret switch! There is a secret switch to see the hidden folders. The map LGAP has to rename to TOTO and when finished vice-versa.
Be patient when re-flash the phone when its ready it show a yellow screen but don't do anything just wait!!!!! At that time the EFS MEDIA BUILDER is unpacking the files and when the process is done the phone restart again and install the files after that when it is ready the phone starts up with a brand new software and show the welcome and configuration screen for the time, date and screen settings as it came from the factory.
Read the links below and fallow the steps. This time your phone will be alive!
There is either a virus on the phone, or you have too many large files on the phone. This 2 might cause the phone to operate on a very slow mode or might be freezing.
When receiving or downloading a file, there might have been a virus on the file, and that can corrupt other files on the phone, including its firmware.
First of all, remove the battery and insert it back in, if it does the same, then try to flash the phone with the appropriate software. Remove the memory card and try to scard it with a computer or laptop using a memory card reader, then you check for the files if there are any viruses.
Also ensure you do not have too many files on the phone and the memory card in order for the phone to work at a high speed.

my files all corrupted and i cant activate my silver themes .. i also can't keep files in my memory card this all happened after i download EFS media builder .. what must i do ???
its a hard coded part of the phone dependant on your network, however, google "viewty theme manager" and "EFS Mediabuilder" and download them. The next bit is a bit long winded, but bare in mind that once this has been done, any theme you pick with the theme manager (even the default one that the viewty comes with) will remove the O2 icon.
Run EFS Media Builder, and navigate to "LGAPP/Media/swf/theme". BACKUP "theme_bg2.swf". If you really don't want to **** things up, just backup the whole damn "theme" folder. You don't have to back it up but its strongly recommended you do, I'm a phone flash modder, so i take the risks and can tell you ive had no problems with it whatsoever, but make sure you read the installation readme's you get with the theme manager and efs builder. If you google "installing viewty theme manager" there are also a few video tutorials on how to install the theme manager correctly. Once its been installed though you never have to worry about it again.
from the KU990.co.uk forums - a tutorial on how to install it:
To install it if you have a memory card:
1) Install "theme_bg2.swf" into "LGAPP/Media/swf/theme" using EFS Media Builder then restart the phone once done. 2)
Navigate to Settings, Phone settings, Connectivity, USB Connection mode
and pick Mass Storage from the list then connect the phone to pc 3) Switch USB connection mode to Mass Storage then browse to the Memory Card/Removable Storage. 4) Drag and drop the "Themes" folder from the rar file directly to the root of the memory card. 6) Navigate to Settings, Screen, Handset theme and pick Silver from the list. Installing to Phone Memory 1) Edit the "ThemeList.txt" file to make all custom themes point towards the phone memory (//LGAPP/Media/swf/theme/Themes) 2) Navigate to "LGAPP/Media/swf/theme" with EFS Media Builder. 3) Drag and drop "theme_bg2.swf" file and the "Themes" folder into this loction then restart the phone. 4) Navigate to Settings, Screen, Handset theme and pick Silver from the list You
need to edit the ThemeList.txt if you install to the Phone as it
currently set to the memory card location. Change the '0' to '1' for
all the themes in the ThemeList.txt file.
All you have to do once it's been installed is pick your silver theme and click your "c" button twice on the home screen to bring up the theme manager.
I know its long winded to get rid of the o2 icon but unfortunately its the only way without removing hard coded files from the viewty and potentially breaking it =/
conect your phone with the usb port.
start in windows the program EFS MEDIA BUILDER by AKOM1976.
select connecton and after that you choose efs explorer select connection.
Now you see the files on your phone maye there is a folder named as TOTO
be sure that this folder is on your phone!!!
If it does delete the folder named as LGAPP
after that rename the folder named TOTO to LGAPP
richt click and choose refresh.
now exit the efs program.
Turn your phone off and then after a few seconds on
the phone will startup normaly as always and its normal asual.
I hope this will work or you have to back up with the LGMDP euro
an after that choose restore and choose the image file *.nv2
