Presario V2000 Sound Card Drivers

I formatted my Presario V2000 2 weeks ago, and for 2 weeks i've been trying to locate the right drivers for the sound card, but it's been a frustrating process so far. Can someone help me locate the right drivers?

I need a sound driver for my sound and video...

This isn't as simple as we were thinking, actually it's easier for us to assume or to give you the specific solution and link if askers mention the Operating System installed on their system. Since you didn't mention, I have to assume myself, I can't give you the direct link, but I will only give you the link where you can download the drivers with instructions on how to do.

More than that, there are three Compaq Presario v2000 Pc notebook models, well from the links below, select what is best for your system.

1. Compaq Presario V2000 Cto Notebook Drivers.

2. Compaq Presario V2000 T Cto Notebook Drivers

3. Compaq Presario V2000 Z Cto Notebook Drivers

Open the link, select the operating system installed on the system and click "Driver-Audio" to download Sound Drivers and "Driver-Graphics" to download Video Drivers.

If you have problem, let me know.

Good luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.

Compaq Presario v2000 ALTEC LANSING speakers not working

Hello,
The first thing that I suspect is that it couldn't locate the right drivers for installation. Still, I'd suggest that you try reinstalling the right drivers for you laptop. There's no harm reinstalling the drivers. Get the drivers for V2000 at this link, but you need to choose which OS are you using: Presario V2000 Audio Drivers. Take note too, that HP recommends that you delete your existing drivers first before installing the new ones.

The method of deleting and reinstalling can be found at Method 4: Delete and reinstall the original sound drivers of this LINK. That link includes the troubleshooting methods for audio/sound problems. You can go through the procedure that applies to you, but I'd still suggest that you do first METHOD 4.

Please let me know of your troubleshooting success by rating me here, or visit me at http://howtoresolve.blogspot.com or at http://real-online-treasures.blogspot.com .

Good luck and enjoy!

So, You may try downloading these three drivers from here, and try them one by one untill your sound card is recognized by windows and works fine again.

Compaq presario v2000 sound drivers

there is a simple sol to ur problem and even i faced it with my laptop as i have the same laptop.
just go on properties of my computer and click hardware on top and then device manager
then right click on the yallow missing audio driver and click on update driver
this will automatically update ur driver from net

if u dont see the update driver button tthen ull have to install service pack 3 first

u can even download realtek AC97 driver and the update as that is more efficient

updating can take 20-30 min so u have to keep patience

u can update other drivers too like this
hope u again listen to the audio from ur com
