It's a timing belt, so it isn't supposed to stretch. There is no tension adjustment that I can see. Are the 4 motor screws in place and tight? Is either the motor or the kneading paddle drive shaft turning in its drive wheel? Is the frame bent and causing the belt to walk off one of the pullies? Another problem can be that the bearing in the pan won't turn, then you'll get a loud bump as the drive mechanism tries to turn the paddle in the pan. If this happens, try to free up the paddle by hand so it turns. Then when you bake, always put the oil in the recipe in first and rotate the paddle a few turns to work the oil into the pan bearing. If the oil gets in first, it will keep the water out and the pan will work fine. I've been getting away with this approach for hundreds of loaves.

Sunbeam repair manual

Take the 5 screws out of the bottom of the machine. Then inside the door below the heating element take out the 8 fine thread screws holding the metal pan in. There is also 1 small screw to remove holding the heating element to a porcelain block on back wall. now pry the plastic apart around the bottom and lift it carefully when it separates. Unplugging the lcd control panel from a board mounted inside front side. Now after getting it seperated you will find 5 or 6 screws (cannot remember exactly) that holds metal plate to plastic base, under here is the belt. Watch out for the rubber spacers on the raised plastic between bottom and metal so they can be set back in place on reassembly. Remove belt pieces and replace with your new Gates #537-3M-09 Belt. I got mine from biedlers-belts.com for about 8.33 total belt and shipping. Probably can get it from auto parts or where ever, They usually call them a timing belt.
If you loosen the 3 screws on the motor it will move enough to get the belt on then slide it back to take slack out of belt but not to tight and tighten screws.
Hope this helps and good luck

How do i tighten the belt for my model 1194 paddle?

If there is an adjustment you will have to take the cover off of the unit and find the tension control arm. If this is belt driven and there is not an adjustment you will have to replace the belt. I am betting this is a geared unit though.

The drum paddles have came loose from the machine

Have all drum paddles come loose? Generally there is one anchor bolt accesed through on of the paddle holes, usually the third from the front. Press down and away from you towards the back of the machine and tighten the bolt
The paddles have slots on there underside and coresponding hooks on the drum of the machine, hence the "push down and away" action to hook up the paddles.

Hope this helps

Screw holding in paddles are backing out.

remove cord and unscrew back panel. You should be able to reach all paddles by turning each 1 to bottom area and tightening.

My breadmaker have two paddles, one seem like it doesnt have the power to turn porbable.what is wrong,i want to fit it myself.

Hi, This could be caused by 3 reasons. 1) The bearing on the paddle shaft is ready to fail and the paddle is sticking. Take the pan out of the machine and see if you can turn the paddle freely by hand. 2) The belt is slipping. Tighten up the belt in the machine. Belts and pulleys are in the base of the machine. Remember to unplug machine when you work on it. 3) Make sure the pan is seated properly in the machine. Good luck Hank

Paddle shaft unable to rotate in the breadpan.

Hi, There is a sealed bearing in the base of the bread pan. When this sealed bearing fails the paddle gets stuck and will not turn. Take the pan out of the machine and see if you can turn the paddle by hand. If it doesn't turn freely, then it's probably the sealed bearing that is is failing. If it turns freely, then this is good news. Keep the pan out of the machine and go to a kneading cycle. Look through the lid window to see if the motor shaft is turning. If it is not turning, then a belt fell off , needs to be tightened, or has broken. Motor, belts and pulleys are in the base of the machine. Remember to unplug machine before working inside the machine. Finally, make sure the pan is seated in the machine correctly. Good luck Hankl

Paddle inside dryer came loose how do we tighten

You have to open up the dryer to expose the clothes drum. Most paddles are fastened by two or three 1/4" sheet metal screws. Look for your lost screw in the dryer or replace it with the same. Use a drop or two of lock-tite to keep screws in place. Good time also to clean out all lint which can become a fire hazard, replace the drum belt and redo all of the screws.

Loose Paddle in the Drum

not the right method, the paddles are the plastic things inside the metal drum. they are held in by tabs that slide into slots in the drum and a metal tab from the drum flips over a ledge underneath the paddle.
if its loose you may need to replace it, they are available as a spare part and come with instructions. you will need to varify which version you have by counting the bumps on the end of the padle, should be 2 or 3.
basically you put a small screwdriver down on of the holes in the top of the paddle, i think the 3rd one, to push the metal drum tab down enough to be able to pull the paddle towards you and out of it's slots. carefull not to push the tab down too far as it will bend inside the drum and isd pain to bend back again.
