Just purchased and set up a Uniden DECT 6.0 Cordless phone, and upon letting the cordless handset complete its charge, noticed that there is a constant blinking of the "visual ringer" on the handset, while it is in resting position in the cradle. Is this normal, and if so, what is the purpose of it? If there is a way to turn it off please let me know. Ive tried looking at the manual's info regarding the visual ringer, but it doesnt explain anything about the handset's visual ringer....just mainly the base unit's visual ringer. And you would figure...that if there is an adjustment for the one on the base unit (which there is), there should be an adjustment on the handset as well.
Thank you very much for your help.
Sincerely,
Allen

Please list the model number of your phone and i will try to help you.
My father's Uniden was doing the same thing and I figured out that the handset was flashing because there were messages on the answering machine that hadn't been played. As soon as you listen to the messages the flashing stops. There was nothing in the manual addressing this.
Uniden XDECT SSE35 Series: Same issue, there are no messages, my flashing (red, not yellow) handset is both main and 'extension'. Have turned off the answering device, turned off the visual ringer on the right hand side of the base... help!?
Were their any answers to this problem? I have the same
