Check the orientation of the antenna. If the transmitter you're trying to tune is very far away from your home, the signals will be very weak, that the tuner inside the TV can't catch. If this is the case, the orientation of the antenna is very important.
There is a firmware update for this TV on the Samsung website. The link will bring you to the update page. You can try the update, but make sure you follow the directions according to their instructions.. Good Luck : )
you can only use your tv to scan for channels with an antenna or if you have that tv hooked to cable television. use your Directv receiver to scan for channels, if you have an antenna hooked up to it.---------------click this link for more helphttp://www.highdefforum.com/directv-forum/77638-new-lcd-tv-d-sd-no-weak-signal.htmlthaNKS.
Since my problem (Samsung/Comcast) began with a channel selection button pushed on the TV remote when it should have been pushed on the cable remote, I figured the problem lay with the TV. Although I was getting the "weak or no signal" msg., the actual signal strength bar graphic showed it to be strong. Disconnecting did no good. I surmised that the TV was simply not recognizing the box.
I looked at the manual for my Samsung 750 model.
Page 20 discussed "Selecting the source". I accessed the TV menu and selected "Input", then chose the "HD..." item from the highlighted list. Voila! My tv works again.
