Your camera does not have a build in WiFi transmitter. You could use a Eye-Fi or Transcend WiFi memory card for connecting it wireless to the iPad, iPhone (or Android device). I'm using a 16 Gbyte Class 10 Transcend WiFi card in my Nikon and it works great on both my iPhone 4 and iPad 4 gen. I think now the 16 GB will cost about 40 dollars, because they now also have a 32 Gbyte WiFi card.
Both Transcend and EyeFi have free apps on the Apple and Android App store.
When you put an WiFi card in your camera, enable the use of the card as described on page 84 of the manual. You only have to install the free app and read the manual, but I'm convinced you have the connection up and running in no time.

The Transcend card is about half the price, has twice the memory card speed and twice the capacity of the Eye-Fi card. And it also transfers RAW pictures (You can't view them on the iPad, but you could transmit them to your PC, using the network) Only the X2 SDHC 8GB of Eye-Fi can transfer RAW.

Can I use my I pad as a hotspot for wifi or do I need a connection to the internet

You can use your ipad as a WIFI hotspot but your ipad must have internet via WIFI or mobile data. To turn on your WIFI hotspot got to Settings > Personal Hotspot and turn on Personal Hostspot. When searching your device will show as Ipad, Enter your WI-FI Password and any device will now use your Ipads Wifi.

I hope this helps :)

I have a Nikon Coolpix S6300 and I can't upload pictures from the camera to my computer because the computer won't recognize it. Will the camera upload if it is on low battery?

If the battery is too low then no, the camera will not transfer pictures to the computer.

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't depend on the camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Nikon Transfer.

I purchased a Netgear Universal Wifi Extender for my ipad, i've set it on on the ipad and it says its connected and evreything and the little correction mark comes up on the ipad showing connected. the...

Extender means it extends the existing Wifi or network. So the iPad now connects fine to the extender, but the extender needs to connect to the existing network either via Wifi or cable. You need to open from the iPad the admin page of the extender and find the connection details there to your existing network.

Canot connect Ipad 2 to orange livebox.

You must connect via wifi to your livebox without problems. You may only go to Ipad settings and select the livebox wifi. I do not understand the problem.
