How do i flip image on a epson EX5220 projector when images in menu wont highlight

You didn't give your model, but on the Epson I have (a PowerLite S1), the projection mode is controlled through the "Settings" menu. This may not be right for your model, but I'd think another Epson would be similar.

On mine, this is how it works:

1) Press "Menu" on the projector (or remote, which will work the same way)
2) Use the "V" (down arrow) to highlight "Setting"
3) Press "Enter" to select the "Setting" menu
4) Press "Enter" to select the "Screen" sub-menu
5) Down-arrow to "Projection" and press "Enter" to select it
6) Use the up- and down-arrows to highlight the arrangement you want from the choices offered:

• "Front": normal use
• "Front/Ceiling": image is vertically flipped
• "Rear": image is horizontally flipped
• "Rear/Ceiling": image is flipped both horizontally and vertically

7) Press "Enter" to select
8) Press "Menu" to exit the menus

Alot of projectors (being all projectors that are designed to be hung from a roof) have an image flip function. This is because when you install a projector in a roof you have to flip the projector upside down so the projector doesn't have to be pointed down and doesn't cause any problems with keystoning.
If you have just bought a new projector and installed it in the roof or perhaps bought it second hand and are projecting from the floor (when the previous owner may have had it in the roof), you will need to go through the menu screen until you find this setting. I don't know exactly what Epson call this function but it should be in there somewhere. If you have it on the floor you want image flip off, if you have it in the roof you want vertical image flip on, horizontal image flip is for when your projecting onto a special screen surface from behind the screen.

Press MENU on the remote control (as show on picture below)

Press down arrow key to select ADVANCED
press ENTER on the remote control
use down arrow key to select ceiling (as show in picture)
press RIGHT arrow key to select OFF to ON status
press MENU key to exit menu
(the projected images are horizontally and vertically reversed.)

you must have the user manual, in there you will find the way to acces the menu and how to flip/invert the image.

you have to either flip the projector around or flip the image around in the menu settings of the projector

See if it has an option like front projector/rear projector. this might solve your problem.

go to:
-menu
-extended
-projection
-front ceiling

happy projecting

go into the menu, image adjustment, and chose ceiling.

if you go through the projectors setup menu you will find the option to invert / flip and rotate image adjust as required

You need to go to the projectors menu and go to the advanced area.

From here, select ceiling.

You should be good to go.
