Why does my sz 30mr olympus camera always says battery empty! Help

Your camera may be ok. Every and each camera has different reactions to a battery condition depending on the design of the circuit. Your battery may work ok on the other camera but this camera needs more juice (assuming the camera is working ok). If the camera demanding more power from the battery, try the rechargable batteries. This happened to me before and its because i put the battery in the charger the wrong way up. Make sure you put it in so that the side with OLYMPUS in it in big letters is facing up!

Hi, have olympus fe-280 camera. Battery on screen shows full but shows empty (an inch strip) in middle. I have charged it. Even bought a new battery. Can anyone help. Thank you. ...... I want thinking I may have two faulty batteries and just need to buy another one?!

My olympus sz 14 camera shows Zoom error on the screen when I turn it on and then turns off immediately. I bought a new battery a d charged the camera but it continues to shut off.

How to reset sz-15?

With digital cameras there are no things like reset buttons or procedures. Just switching off and on, or removing the battery and reinserting it, will restart the camera like a cold boot from a computer.
When you touched the lens barrel, while it was moving, and the camera acts strange. Switch it of, remove the battery and the memory card. then reinsert them and switch on.

You don't need the Olympus software.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo management program such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).
