You cant its that simple ,try the spare key in case your key has been in your bag next to a mobile phone which will wipe the chip in the key ,if that doesnt work call the dealer
If it's the factory security system that honks the horn and flashes the headlights, you can shut it off by turning the key in the door cylinders or in the rear tailgate key cylinder. If it's an aftermarket alarm, look for a small silver switch under the dash and usually turning the ignition on and flipping that switch will permanently put the alarm into valet mode. Good luck.
Before removing your factory alarm call a locksmith and ask him if can reprogram your car key.
Is most likely your car computer no longer recognize your key
I know this sounds weird but most cars this days have a chip on the key it self whit the car vin number and some other information.
Is an anti theft feature.
If the computer do not recognize your key it wont let you start the car even if you are able to turn the key.

the viper alarm is malfunctioning , it is supposed to bypass the key ignition and or chip in the key to allow it to start , you will need to look for a reset button( under the dash and just two wires going to the button)( stuffed under the dash ) ( not the switch) , this should let you start it but if the alarm components that control that bypass is to far gone then this will not help and the alarm will need repair , replaced or removed
Hi! Take your key to the dealership with Vin number and details of vehicle and they will key code another key to fit your truck in minutes if they have a blank in stock.
Good Luck!
Let me know how you get on?

i have a 1996 grand caravan, and i have the problem of alarm going off too. I also do not have a keychain to turn it off. All you have to do is unlock the driver door or passenger door with a regular key, and that stops the alarm.
Have the door panel removed. On the back of the lock cylinder(should be but it maybe loose)harness. manipulate the harness to disarm the factory alarm. Car should start. [email protected]
