Why does belkin f5d7132 firmware update failed

This is not a router, but a range extender, it does not need a driver just an interface with which to configure it.

Belkin do not say that they support this on W7 but have a bit of software that configures it at http://en-uk-support.belkin.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2865/kw/F5d7132

first backup your belkin config. second you must reset the belkin. check for reset butom nerby power. wait 5or more sec pressed, and check for inicializacion seq. then config the belkin, ( note for default admin passwd) again and check the funcionality, if continue upgrade/check firmware.

For best results, you should connect it directly to the other router with an ethernet cable.

Windows Vista; belkin says it's compatible. install program downloads, but desktop shortcut does not appear. When I attempt to open the file, I get error message "IP802MR MFC application has stopped working." IP802MR is the name of that file.

My nephue has the same problem i told him to junk it and get a diffrent brand. He did and now he has no problem with the internet. Also I just tried to install it on my PC but all I get is a 10 seconds of internet then it does not connect after that. Thats why I was looking for any info on this problem.
