Problably when the repairman fixed your first problem, he touched the adjustements on the block focus assembly, there are 6 knobs (2 for each tube red, green and blue) one is for the focus and the other one is for screen or also called G2. you must get a technician, there is a very high voltage there

Horizontal line at top of screen in any hd format with componet or hdmi. model is sv470m. the tv isn't even a week old.

Get into the TV menu and locate the H (Horizontal) and V (Vertical) picture options. . .increase the V until line at the top is gone.

We have a Sony Triniton 32 inch TV we bought approximately in 2000. For a couple of weeks we had horizontal lines across the screen, then it just went black, no audio, nothing. Just comes on and off....

It is probably you horizontal output or horizontal output drivers. The newer TVs derive all there power from the horizontal circuit. This can only be fixed by an experienced technician as that area produces in excess of 20,000 volts to light the screen. Don't try to fix it your self as you could cause more damage or be electrocuted.

Mita DC-1860 horizontal streaks after new drum

You say 'horizontal", but I imagine your paper is actually travelling 'laterally' or or sideways through the machine right? That means that the lines are actually running vertically based on the paper direction.

Is that 2" wide line visible on your drum?
Drum cleaning blade has likely failed....it should ALWAYS be replaced with a new drum.

Horizontal lines on Screen

Sounds like an inverter problem. If the power supply is internal replace the capacitors coming out of the voltage regulators. These are usually 1000mf and/or 470mf. If that doesn't do the trick look up the numbers on the 8-pin chips that drive the secondary transformers on the inverter to see if they are getting the right voltages.
Good Luck!

Horizontal lines on Screen

here's something you can try...remove the back and notice that there are ribbon cables (FRAGILE!) on the right and left side...alot of times these cables develope bad connections and cause the lines you see...other times the panel will be suspect. Removing these ribbon cables and reseating them have helped me determine in the past if it is a bad connection...or a bad panel

This fix should only be done by a professional or one who is familiar with repairing electronic devices. I have fixed many Kodak camera's with exactly the same problem.

Inside the camera the lens is attached to the circuit board with a ribbon cable and it inserts into a connector that it's latch can pop open if the camera is dropped or Jared. The way to fix it is to remove the back and re snap the connector. I have fixed many this way. There are two hidden screws behind the eye piece. Press down on the eye piece after removing the screws on the bottom. Be very careful where you touch on the circuit board. In the upper right corner is where the high voltage is for the flash. That can cause a nasty shock if you touch it. Even if the battery is removed it holds a charge.

Horizontal lines

If this model has a "lint screen" or air filter, I would check to make sure the set is getting proper ventilation. Otherwise, you probably have a bad solder connection or capicators going bad, causing your symptoms. Hopefully you won't have to get a replacement Printed circuit board as they are quite expensive.
