Question about Connex Cx-366ce Night Runner 40ch Cb Radio, Very Loud

Plugged in heard talk then nothing lights still worked but no power signal. help

Plugged in to cigerette lighter. Heard talking then within a minute there was no sound power indicator was not showing power but lights were working

Probably sent enough power thru the reverse polarity diode to burd it but still have enough to keep lights on.

It has to be on high band d/a to talk on you're 40 basic channels and no you can not run this off a cig. plug it needs to go to the battery. This is an AM radio so it has to be on AM.

If you are talking about your smart phone, then it is probably set to use WI-FI for calling and your WI-FI router powered off during the power failure. Is squelch turned too high that it is blocking too many signals?
Otherwise, it could be a faulty cable on the mic as the PTT button disconnects the speaker on the CB and a broken wire can cause the speaker to be disconnected.

Galaxy dx959 will not receive. Speaker is working. S meter is showing incoming signal.

the over power doides may be blown. you should start there .they should be marked D-1 and D-2. you may want to replace them with diodes of a higher rating.

This is for anyone with this problem, I had the SAME issue and NO one had the right answer on here, if they best you can do is "this must be a wiring isssue" your an IDIOT and should go back to facebooking. IF you have checked your fuses and that is not the issue, it is the cigerette lighter, there are fuses behind here that have gone out and is not completing the circuit for the radio, the lighter, the clock or the automatic windows. My Disney Animated Talking Clock has lost the animation. It keeps time and talks, but nothing moves and the music can barely be heard.

I can't get the radios to communicate with eachother, they have power and chirp when I press the talk button but nothing is being received.??? They look like the EM1000 model of Motorola radios. The FCC...

These are multi-channel FRS / GMRS radios. In order to receive transmitted signals from the other radio, they both must be set to the same Channel and the same Interference Eliminator Code. One without the other will keep audio from being heard on the receiving radio.

I suspect you need to refresh yourself with the radio's controls and settings. If you have lost the manual, you can get a copy free of charge from Motorola You'll need a free program called Adobe Reader to view it.

Once you have everything - look at the right hand side of page 1 for "Talking and Listening" followed by "Menu Options" to set the radios up correctly. Keep in mind that if VOX is selected, and there is sound near both radios, they both will transmit at the same time - since the radios receive OR transmit at any given time, no audio will be heard from either.

Your Interior lights share a fuse with alot of other circuits and if I remember correctly the switches are built into the door latches.On some of the models the cigerette lighter is on the same circuit and if your element is bad it can short out,also you could check wiring between doors and body to see if any rubbed thru.

Your internal circutry is failing... it sounds like its happening after it gets warm, which may cause an old/cheap part (or parts, like capacitors) to fail inside. think about how long have you had these items and how much use they have had. As always, thanks for using fixya
