Jacob, you had best go on line to manufacturers web site customer support department and have them run you through the check list of troubleshooting problems with the device. That is unless you have the manual with all of the details spelled out already.

When mic n headset is plugged into my motorola cp100 sound comes thru both radio speaker and headset. How do I fix this so that when the headset is plugged in. Sound only comes in thru the headset??

Sometimes on Motorola radios, the vox option get left on. Due to both vox and regular PTT option at the same time, may cause them to RX out of both speakers. So try turning off your vox option which should under menu on the keypad

We recently purchased the Motorola MS350 radios with headsets. We plugged the headsets in and turned the power on, but are unable to communicate back and forth in handsfree mode. We can switch to PTT and...

The three things which come to mind are:
1) Is the headset the VOX headset intended for the radio model? Sometimes the rings on the plug do not match the internal points of contact if it is not the intended headset. Not all headsets are VOX capable.
2) Is the headset plugged in all the way. (You mentioned plugging in and then turning on. This is good. You must always have the radio turned off when plugging or unplugging an audio device.)
3) Try pressing the PTT on the headset cord one time before switching the dip switch to VOX. (Assuming you have a headset with the small box in the line.)

Lastly, if you continue to have difficulties, contact Motorola at the 800# provided in the user guide. They should be able to assist you.

Best regards.

I am having trouble programing VOX to work on motorola rdu 2020 2-way radios

Here is a link to the user guide: http://www.twowayradiosfor.com/pdf/RDX-Non-Display-manual.pdf
Instructions for setting the VOX sensitivity are on page 33.

According to the manual you program the VOX using the CPS (software). Three things which usually cause end-user problems are:
1) Failing to set the sensitivity to a number 1, 2, or 3.
2) Failing to have the radio shut off when plugging in the audio device (headset or earpiece)
3) Failing to use a VOX capable audio device. (Not all headsets and earpieces are VOX capable. Many with inline PTTs are not.)

If these items or instructions do not help, stop by your local Motorola dealer to discuss the problem.

Best regards.

Motorola T5622 VOX Not Activating with Autocom Sys I have an Autocom (Kit 300) motorbike coms system. I bought the accessory cord that interfaces to the Motorola T5622, for VOX I have followed the Motorola...

Hi Folks, two seperate checks to do - to check vox on autocom and transmit on motorola. With the T5622 unconnected to anything, does the push transmit button work - e.g. does it make the beep noise at the end of transmission?

Does your autocom work with any other sound sources - i.e. mp3 player so you can hear music. Does this mute when you speak ? (it should if vox is working). Note that in this setup vox is provided by autocom - NOT BY THE T5622. The instructions you mention are for the motorola vox kit.

Wire the two together and you should get the motorola beeping through your autocom at the end of transmit - that's what my kit 200 does with my T5622.
