The ones with Screen Saver and Audio are in Preview Mode. If you want to watch them, you have to subscribe. It is a tactic to get you hooked and get you to pay. Sometimes they will give you a couple of minutes of video and audio at the beginning of a programme. It isn't a television issue, it is your cable provider and a sales technique.

There are possibly two issues here.
The PDP screen requires the tuner box to work.
Or
The power supply has a few daughter boards that can fail on the main power supply.

You're asking about how to do a Factory Reset to this set, I assume, and posts this solution. To do a factory reset, you have to enter its service mode option. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. Surf the site with patience. Do a search by type in the brand name of your device at its search box and press "Enter".

Could be variety of reasons.

Service manuals usually say to check all standby voltages from the power board and then eventually try replacing the main logic board.

Some TVs have more than one standby circuits and there's a chance you have one of them working and the other failed...in that case you won't be needing a main board.

The bad news is I don't have the schematics for your model handy.

Hi, my PDP 50XE just cut out, when powered back on the screen powers down and the standby light flashes twice followed by a 5 sec gap.  Anyone got any thoughts? Thanks
