Why does dryer makes a click sound after i hit the go button, then nothing...all the lights are light up like its working. Any idea?

Sounds like the motor or the element has a problem , this in turn will activate the safety switch this may be the click you hear, most times all that is required is a new capacitor on the Linear induction motor , or a new heater element both cheaper than a new machine and available on ebay for most machines .However I must remind you electricity for the unskilled is dangerous,and Machines both washing and tumblers are notorious for delivering near fatal and fatal electric shocks due to bad repair or maintenance, my advise is for you to seek the help of your local repairman.
