Where are my files (photos and videos) on memory card?

Where on the memory card are my photos and videos? I know they are on the card since the memory is almost full, but I can't locate them.

The Video codec used for the Panasonic G5 is AVCHD which is structured very strangely downloading a third party app to Handle them and remove them from SD card is often very helpful. As for photos the file structure should be extremely simple to navigate if you aren't finding your photos with very limited poking around on your SD card there may be something wrong. What I recommend you try is downloading a photo management app like Picasa from google it should fairly simpler help you download all your photos and videos of your SD card if they are still there.http://youtu.be/cMUUBJdcCiw

SOURCE: memory card says it's full

This can happen if there is a hidden recycle folder on the card. I had a similar problem that was solved by reformating the card.

Hi, did you click the option to erase the photos from the card after you imported them into iPhoto? It could be that the images are still on the card and that iPhoto has just deleted the directory.
If you are sure that the photos are all on your Mac then the best thing is to use the camera's menu and reformat the card.
I have made a point of NEVER letting iPhoto delete the pictures but I delete them manually in the camera once I know they are safe in iPhoto. However, I am finding that I am no-longer deleting the photos from the card - when it is full I put it aside and use a new one - they are so cheap now - way cheaper than film is.

ALTERNATE WAY TO TRANSFER PHOTOS AND VIDEOS TO A COMPUTER
If your photos and videos are stored on the memory card, then remove the memory card from the camera and insert it into an USB memory card reader. Connect this USB memory card reader and memory card into the USB port of your working computer. Your computer will see this as an USB Mass Storage Device or an external storage device; you can then open the folder on the memory card and copy the photos and to your computer. Memory card reader is a handy device and is inexpensive. You can copy photos from other cameras and you can also download photos off your memory card to someone else's computer without the need of installing any programs.

Hi there,
Nokia N95 stores your pictures and videos on a memory card automatically. Therefore, you can recover your deleted pictures and videos from memory card with data recovery software.I have succeed to recover deleted pictures from SD card with Tenorshare. It can recover data after deeply scanning your memory card to look for lost data you accidentally deleted. But once your deleted pictures and videos were overwritten by new ones, they are gone for good.
Anyway, download a trial version and scan your memory card for free to check out whether your deleted pictures and videos can be recovered. http://www.any-data-recovery.com/index.htm

Installing SD Memory Card

Your camera has a memory card slot that enables you to insert any "SD" compatible memory card up to 8BG. Adding a memory card will allow you to increase the capacity of your camera before you have to transfer photos and videos to your PC. Install the SD memory card as below:

  1. Locate the Memory Card slot within the battery compartment.
  2. Insert the Memory card into the slot in the correct direction. (see the sketch below)
7
  1. Push the card in until you feel it "click" into position. The top of the card should be flushed with the surface of the camera. An icon will appear on the LCD screen after you turn on your camera.
  2. Once the external memory card is inserted into the camera all the images taken with the camera will be stored on the card.

Note:

  1. Limited internal memory is provided for test images. The image will be deleted when camera power is turned off. Please download the images before power off .SD memory card is required for normal use.
  2. An external memory card is required for normal use. Your camera supports any compatible SD memory card (up to 8GB).
  3. If there is a photo in the internal memory when you insert the card into your camera, a "Copy to card" message will appear on the LCD with Yes or No options. On selecting 'Yes' the photo will now be copied to your card.
  4. Formatting will delete all data on the SD memory card including protected data.
8
  1. Don't remove the SD card during formatting as this may damage the card and render it unusable.
  2. When your card is full, download the media on the SD card to your PC and delete the photos and videos from it in order to continue using your

You should be able to copy the videos across in the same way, but they will be in a different directory on the card than the still photos were.

Phone saying memory full when its not

is your phone set to save photos to the phone memory or to the memory card..? that might be the reason why it is saying memory full. due to the phone memory being full. normally on symbian phones, there is an option settings to change the default location for saving photos and video. if you make it the memory card, then hopefully that will solve your problem. cheers
