You do indeed have problem-- the
printer is doing what you are telling it to do changing the print from
Portrait to Landscape on a
dot matrix printer has the same effect as that on a Laser
printer, it rotates the print by 90 degrees.
The correct solution of to define a custom size of paper which is the same size as the paper you are printing on.
If you are using Windows 2000, XP, 2003 etc you can create a Custom Size paper in the
following way;
- Ensure you are logged in with administrtor rights
- Open the Printers Folder
- Go to the FILE DROP DOWN MENU
- Select SERVER PROPERTIES
- Ensure the FORMS tab is selected
- Tick the CREATE FORM button
- Enter a NAME for the form
- Enter the dimensions (be careful of the units you are using --- best results use inches)
- Do NOT set margins printable areas etc
- Click on the SAVE button
One you have created the custom size form you should be able to select this by name in the printer driver properties and the software package you are using.
