Program the RCA remote with the instructions below, this will tell us if the problem is with the remote or the tv.

I suspect the Sync is on the blue colour and the tv is expecting that, if it is S-Video. The device supplying the picture is not set up to supply that. Check what system the tv requires and set the video source accordingly.
SOURCE: digihome dvd not working
If it's a burned DVD or a CD, it might just be incompatible. Not every disc will work in the kind of older drives Digihome uses.
