Envision en-7500 won't power on

The problem is in the power supply board, at least one capacitor is open, sometimes will bulge at the top making it easier to spot.

TV won't turn on. flashes a series of 5 red lights instead of turning green

Usually Sony and LG Blinking Codes are the same. Here is what I have.
  • Unit is dead, No blinks - Problem in the standby power section. Might check fuse,
  • Continuous blink once a second, no pausing - No reply from the jungle IC301 (data bus is busy, shorted to ground, or held high), IK video path is defective.
  • One blink - not used for the self-diagnosis
  • Two blinks - B+ over current protection (OCP), unit goes to the standby mode then displays the 2 blink fault. Could be a short in the power supply of any of the circuits.
  • Three blinks - B+ over voltage protection (OVP), unit goes to the standby mode then displays the 3 blink fault. This is also a problem in the power supply circuit,
  • Four blinks - No vertical Deflection (V STOP), Screen goes to a single horizontal line then the video signal muted.
  • Five blinks - AKB circuit (automatic kine bias), the timer/standby indicator blinks for about 30 seconds then goes to the self-diagnosis function. Something is wrong with the video. In addition, unit could be in IK blanking, try turning up screen slightly.
  • Six blinks - No Horizontal (H STOP), no raster, goes to the blinking self-diagnosis function immediately.
  • Seven blinks - High voltage shutdown. The high voltage has exceeded 33k and the unit goes immediately into safety shutdown. Check power supply regulation and horizontal circuits.
  • Eight blinks - Problem with the audio (AUDIO), unit goes to standby and blinks the self-diagnosis code.
  • Nine blinks - Panel Module Error or Thermal Error. If it is intermittent 9 blinks, meaning sometimes the TV comes on and other times you get flashing Make sure the regulator is -12 or -13 (negitive).
  • Ten blinks - Check Q8014 and Q8013 for shorts, leakage, or bad solder connections on the " D" board. If the transistors are bad, check R8051 and IC8005, also on the "D" board.

How can i find a power cord to fit this monitor? The one I have is not getting power to it . It was tested by Best buy.

Most monitors have the same type power cord. You can order them cheap off of Amazon and eBay.

ENVISION EN-7100SI LCD MONITOR-WHEN YOU TURN IT ON IT FLASHES NO SIGNAL THEN GOES BLACK .IVE HEARD YOU REPLACE A CAPACITOR AND IT COST ABOUT TWO DOLLARS I HAVE TO OF THESE MONITORS BOTH THE SAme exact...

First, if it shows no signal because it is not receiving the signals from PC then it will go into stanby mode. Try it with another PC first and also check the cable.
Most capacitors kit costs around $15 if you replace them in a set, I always replace them in a set.

I have an Envision tft1980 Model EN9110 flat screen 19"monitor. every few minutes it blacks out for 1-2 seconds. It doesn't seem to loose power as the green light is still on but it blacks out. Any Ideas...

If you are going to DIY repair, please read below and look at the pictures so you will know what to look for, most LCD monitors have the same problem.

Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

Envision monitor EN-7100e color is screwd up.

Unfortunately this monitor has captived VGA cable, you cannot easily replace it. Try moving the cable around to see if you will get normal color back.

I have a Envision EN-7100e monitor. Downloaded

catamount309, This is only a guess, but unit may have internal "switch-mode-power-supply"/"CCFL inverter" board problem. When screen goes BLACK, is it also BLANK? If you can see WIN-desktop with aid of bright flashlight 1 inch from screen, then SMPS is in partial shutdown mode. If you see nothing, then SMPS is in full shutdown. In either case, Technician will need to repair the SMPS/CCFL inverter board. If KNOWN GOOD monitor works with PC, then you know 7100e is bad. Do you know and understand how the new energy efficient screw-in curlie-Q light bulbs work? If the "electronic ballast circuit" not working, then it can't light-up the CCFL tubes on the reverse side of LCD panel then you see black. Do more reading in my fixya profile for more options open to you. Do your research first!! Hey, reading is free!!!
Will you fix or trade for new? 12fixlouie

My monitor keeps blinking off and on every 30 seconds

I would say that this is probably a power inverter problem in the monitor itself.
One way to check it to connect another monitor and see if it works. If so, then you need to have your monitor repaired.
