How to configure Ring Check of the MA5800?

The Ring Check feature enables the device to send the Ring Check packets periodically and monitors the Ring Check packets received on the user-side, cascade-side, and network-side to detect whether a loop occurs on the network of the carrier. If a loop occurs, the MA5800 deactivates the subscriber port on the loop and reports the corresponding alarm to the NMS. This ensures that the device runs in the normal state and that legal users are not affected.
Run the ring check enable command to enable the user-side ring network detection.
Run the ring check uplink detection enable command to enable the network-side ring network detection.
Run the ring check cascade detection enable command to enable the cascade-side ring network detection.

Can a Box Switch Record Logs and Alarms After a Loop Detection-enabled Interface Detects a Loop?

A fixed switch (such as S2309TP-EI-DC) can record alarms but not logs after a loop detection-enabled interface detects a loop. The configurations are as follows:
In V100R005 and V100R006, you can run the snmp-agent trap enable feature-name ldttrap command to enable the alarm function for loop detection. If snmp-agent trap enable has been configured globally, the alarm function has been enabled.
Loop detection and loopback detection have been available since V200R001. You can run the snmp-agent trap enable feature-name ldttrap command to enable the alarm function for loop detection and run the snmp-agent trap enable feature-name lbdt command to enable the alarm function for loopback detection.
You can run the display trapbuffer command to view alarms.

Loop network

I assume you're talking about a problematic switch? If so, the best thing you can do is go turn out the lights in your sever room and look at the lights on all the switches. Look for the switch that isn't blinking like the rest of them are. That should be your problematic switch. From there it's pretty much a guessing game unless you have your network mapped out well. If you do have it mapped out well and know where the patch panel is pulling data from in your office or home then it should be easy to figure out. If you don't have your network mapped you're going to have to pull cables until the lights look better on the switch. You may have to reboot the switch every time so it clears the loop... It might be easier to walk around and look for a cable that's plugged into your network on both ends though. Or ask everyone if anyone has plugged anything into your network since the issue has started. Finding a loop back in your network is crazy frustrating because it cripples your network and it's not easy to find if you do not have the network mapped out well. Good luck.

What is routing loop?

A routing loop is a condition in which a packet is continuously transmitted within a series of routers without ever reaching its intended destination network. A routing loop can occur when two or more routers have routing information that incorrectly indicates that a valid path to an unreachable destination exists.
The loop may be a result of:
Incorrectly configured static routes
Incorrectly configured route redistribution (redistribution is a process of handing the routing information from one routing protocol to another routing protocol and is discussed in CCNP-level courses)
Inconsistent routing tables not being updated due to slow convergence in a changing network
Incorrectly configured or installed discard routes
