Tip: The max point reward for answering a question is 15.
But with some you have to download new Firmware. Some are manufactured for the Japanese Home market and only come in Japanese with no way to change.
There is a trick. Use a Smartphone with the Google Translate App and use the Camera Feature to translate what you are seeing onscreen. Look for Settings / Language.
You may be able to utilize your cell phone along with a language translator app in order to read and convert the Japanese language to English, allowing you to step through the device menu.

I know this is an older post, however for others looking for this answer, you may be able to download a language app to your phone allowing the translation from Japanese to English. Then you may be able to click through the language menu.
