Motor won't work on Champion unless I press on part

I was juicing wheat grass and orange this morning, and all of a sudden, the machine just stopped. I cleaned everything off--the fiber, pulp, etc. and let it rest for about 5-7 minutes. I turned it back on, but it only works if I lightly press down on the expulsor (the long part out of which the waste shoots). The motor will not turn/work unless I press down on that part.

Thanks. Actually, there was just a build up on the filter, and perhaps it interfered with the magnetic mechanism that turns the motor on.

It probably has developed a loos connection inside. Pressing on that part reconnects the loose connecion inside the machine. If you are someone with a good mechanical aptittude, you may open it and somehow make a hood connection again. The problem should be obvious, and straight forward to fix.

No problem. question: can you juice wheat grass with the breville juicer?

Not really. You'll get wet pulp and a big mess to clean, not to mention the waste of your expensive products. Here's why-

My champion juicer just stopped working. Makes no sound at all when I flip the switch. Any ideas?

Championjuicer.com sells replacement switches. Order the oil seal and o-ring too to save on shipping. Newer models have a safety cut off that does not allow the juicer to turn on unless all parts are properly positioned.

I juice mainly green vegetables: kale, spinach, etc, then carrots -and it doesn't have enough power, slows down and then stops - any idea why?

Sorry, but it's not designed for leafy vegetables.
Carrots, apples, celery-yes. For kale, spinach
try a inexpensive, hand powered, wheat grass
juicer. About $50.

Champion Juicer leaking a lot; from screen holder!

I'm having the same problem, the blank screen just doesn't fit the main body that well (I think the body on mine may have been warped by someone putting it in the dishwasher). Since I'm only going to be using my Champion as a front-end for a hydraulic press, I bought some food-grade silicone sealant (from McMaster-Carr or EMI Supply) and I'm just going to permanently attach the blank screen to the juicer body and slide the screen holder over that. There's a new O-ring for the back where the body attaches to the motor that might be needed as well.

Leaking dark fluid from motor when juicing

sounds like the start of a horror movie. lol

ok dark? and no cracks or leakage from the juice container? hmm

dark .... ...its gotta be juice leaking down and mixing with the dark grease they use on the bearings.. but this is a wild guess. and i cant think of anything else unless a 100 roaches live inside the motor housing.
get it fixed when it starts to whine or smoke.

Motor not working

Hi I had the same problem yesterday and emailed Champion Juicer about the problem here's their reply below, his suggestion worked. Hello Duane, Your machine is equipped with a magnetic start system which will only allow the machine to start when you have the screenholder all the way in place just as you would have it to start juicing. If you do not have any parts on the machine it will not start. Please assemble it again and give it a try. If it still wont start call me at 209-369-2154 for further assistance. Thank you Carl
