This copier is a Hp color copier model 120 (all in one). The copier was working correctly for some time, then for some unknown reason it will no longer feed paper through the tray. I have search the web and The hp sites with no luck. I have tried all the trouble shooting help guides with no success. All seems to be behaving correctly, rollors turn, the bottom "flap" comes up forceing the paper up but the rollors will not grab the paper. The only error message I get is "out of paper" when in fact it is not out of paper. I can take the tray out and manually feed a single sheet without a problem, when the tray is installed, if I force the paper forward hard enough it will grab the sheet. I just don't see the obstruction causing it to not auto feed itself. Thanks

Make sure that you have tray 1 set for the correct paper type. Leaving the paper type as unknown will result in very slow printing as the printer will assume that it might be printing on heavy media, envelopes or the like.

The HP4700 Printer
The HP 4700 is a family of color LaserJet printers intended for use by work groups and small offices. The printer itself differs little from model to model with accessories including wireless printing options and various paper tray configurations.
Error Code 'Service Error 49.2'
According to the user manual, 49.X error codes mean, "a critical firmware error has occurred." Firmware is Software that ties to specific hardware components. While occasionally this means hardwired programming, installed drivers often feed programming and instructions to modern devices.
Correcting the Error
Firmware errors can often be corrected by turning the device off and on again. If this fails to correct the issue, reinstalling the driver software may correct the problem. If the problem persists, HP technical support should be contacted.

check at eh back of the paper feed to see the condition of the grey rollers that feed the paper they wear and can cause missfeeds there should be a visible grip on them ..if they look smooth or shiny they need replacing
hi ray, it's chris. i called your cell phone, but figured you might see this. replace the registration clutch. after some research, this seems to be the solution given that should solve the issue in that printer, and it's an independant part from the paper pickup assembly...
Here's a link to the service manual. Most of the issues with this printer can be done on your own once you have downloaded the manual. Parts are available at http://partsurfer.hp.com
Have you checked that you are sending the print job using the correct paper tray on the printer?
Check the properties of the printer to ensure you are. Check also that the printer is OK by running a test print from the printer and not through the PC.
If I remember it's hold the green button for around 7-10 seconds, whilst powering on.
