Probably a clog, because the change bag light is nothing but an airflow sensor.

Check your hoses to ensure that there are no blockages, and also check inside the powerhead behind the brushroll.

SOURCE: How do you install the air filter in a Renaissance

It goes beneath the accessories holder on top of the machine.

You can download a manual for your machine at the below site:

SOURCE: Electrolux renaissance bag is light

Mine is doing the same thing, well it was. I sat it upright and it seems to be working fine... there is no blockage in the hose, the bag is clean... only thing I can't change is the filter. Maybe that is the problem, it doesn't seem really dirty though. I'm thinking perhaps the unit was too hot, hence having to be turned up right... makes it a little harder to move around but it is running at that is all I care. Hope this helps

Electrolux Vacuum Renaissance Power head brush won't turn

if it is making a humming sound but not turning you belt is broken, if it is not check the reset switch (little res button) if that doesnt work check the connections between the cord of the powerhead and the wand, the wand and the hose, and the hose and the vacuum
give the hose itself a good look over sometimes the wires up by the grip break in the casing

How do you replace the 'after filter' in the electrolux guardian?

1. Press latch and open the door that covers the tools.
2. Squeeze clips at front of tool tray, lift and remove.
3. Remove filter.
4 Replace filter.
5. Replace tool tray and close door..

Instructions can be found in the Renaissance manual, which you can download from the following site. Go to "older models", find Renaissance and click on it, then click "download". Instructions are on page 9. The Renaissance is basically the same model as the Guardian.

LUX RENAISSANCE WONT TURN ON. HOSE CONTROL BAG LIGHT IS ON

Could be the board in the handle but I found that a lot of the times the contacts where the handle meets the hose just need to be cleaned. It could also be a clogged hose but I'd say it's one of the other two.

Electrolux Renaissance canister

there are a couple situations to this issue. one is the bag that was replaced is a incorrect one and it is not meeting the switch for the bag pop circuit. some over the counter bags cause this issue. another problem could be the switch itself. or the bag door not being tight enoug to make contact with the bag.
