Usually you will see horizontal streaks on the printout. It sometimes will get bad simply by getting clogged, either too much or too little printing.

The print heads are not replaceable unless you know what you're doing. Even if you did know what you're doing, you need another bad printer of that series to exchange the print heads. It is easier to just buy a new printer that uses the same 02 ink you're used to, especially if you have a CISS system.

How can print heads be accessed

The print heads on most modern printers are built into the cartridge. Most printers have a "cleaning" cycle if you are getting bad prints.
If there is another reason you need them let us know and I can re-visit the question

Pixma 610

I know this is a stupid question but....are you out of ink? if so, you know what you have to do. If not, it could be a few different things. Ink cartridges may be bad/dried out, or the print heads may be clogged. Those are the most likely problems. Your printer should have some kind of print head cleaning utility. Try that first, if that doesn't work you may want to try new cartridges. You can find some quality, low cost cartridges online since the Canon cartridges don't have a built in print head like Lexmark and HP. Hope that helps.

HP all-in-one not printing cyan color

Place a soft clean tissue paper over the cartridge print head and leave for about eight minutes. You can secure it with the aid of a rubber band. It should be held firm ok. If the tissue paper is not dampened by ink then the cartridge would have gone bad or the ink dried. You also know that they have expiry date and could go bad while yet in the packaging b/c it has expired. Good luck

There are three probable causes ...

A bad print head, a bad print head cable and a bad logic card - more often than not it's the print head

Printer head not installed

If the printer is a Tally printer, the error code mean that the logic board can not detect the print head.

Check the following
