Question about Apex Digital AT2708S 27" TV

No Picture My screen is white with vertical lines accross. Sound ok There was a beautiful picture, great color, then I had a problem with TIVO loosing its menu.

If when you press the volume or channel up or down button you get no OSD, that's is no channel number or volume up bars, have some one check the set for either a defective video out IC or a defective picture tube, or a bad cap in the power supply. Set should be serviced by a TV repair person.

It can be either the LCD controller board, or worst case the LCD panel, symptom of bad panel is vertical lines from the top to the bottom of screen, and it will get more lines as time goes by.

Insignia ns32lcd no picture just lots of vertical colored lines
Usually this problem is caused by the connections for the LCD Controller(TCON). If you disconnect and re-connect the cable until it works correctly it will usually solve this problem.

White lines accross top of screen on our 27 inch Toshiba,
lcd or plasma.
are the lines solid or blurred. do they have sharp edges.
You may have a memory problem with the display which can only be repaired by factory trained technicians, or a brave soul willing to find parts on ebay.

Panasonic TV - no picture, but sound is ok

 

 

it is due to vertical section failure.

  • before you start any work reduce brightness to avoid crt burn.
  • please check some loose contact or loose connector.
  • check supply to vertical section
  • check parts in vertical output section
  • check vertical ic.

Mitsubishis TV Problem
have a Mitsubishi TV 1993. Model CS-35301. The problem is that there is a white line that is running through a blank screen. The sound is fine just no picture. Have you heard of "Vertical Collapse?" I would love to save the TV. Hi nothing to worry just minimise brightness to avoid screen burn. "Vertical Collapse?" means one bright hor.line in the middle of screen. this problem can be solved 1 check vertical yoke connector or wire loose 2 check supply to vertical section which normally comes from EHT transformer check components in vertical section or print loose regards thanks
