The display on the lcd screen in upside down when in normal viewing position both recording and playback. If you turn it forward like you wanted to include yourself in the recording, it is fine, but if you flip it back to rear faceing the display is upside down. Is there a way to fix this?

I have the same problem
welcome to the world of sony hdd cameras. i have the same issue as well as my night shot NEVER turns off. basically, the camera is unusable unless am standing on my hands at night.
Same problem here. Started last night while i was recording my kids.
I took the camera into the local repair shop to resolve problem and they told me they would have to replace two cables from the lcd to the camera. They said tha it would cost $330 to have this done. Brought the camera home and gave it to the kids to play with. Have heard from others that this is a common problem, but the warrenty is so short that Sony apparently isn't responsible for repairs. Kind of expensive for what is now a child's toy. Next camera will probably be a Canon.
Just landed in Maui and now have the same problem. Just bought it 2 months ago. It will go back to the store when I get home!
I have the same issue. i haven't downloaded any of the video as of yet to see if it is also upsidedown..id so...would be a true bummeras I still captured some of the prime moments of my 3 year old son's best times. I did call Sony a few months ago and they acted as if this was the first time they had ever heard of the issue and said I could send it to them to get repaired. I bought it fromBest buy and swore i bought an extended warrenty which would still cover me...so this is my next mission. Have search asll over for a fix and as of now this is the first posting! Help us ALL!!
