Re: vista downgrade to xp
No there aren't any drivers, but the problem you will have is that the bios is updated to suit Vista and installing XP will cause problems with components in the notebook.
My advice is to keep Vista if you havent already uninstalled the operating system, but you will notice that your hard disk has two partitions, install XP on the other partition and have a dual boot notebook, if you have uninstalled then lend a friends copy of Vista and use your own instalation product key code on the underside of your notebook and re install.

You cannot uninstall Windows Vista,
but you can reinstall your previous operating system, which then
replaces Windows Vista. To reinstall
your old operating system, you must have the original installation
disc. Back up your programs and files, insert the installation disc into
your computer, and then reinstall the old operating system. To regain
the hard disk space used by Windows Vista,
reformat the disk during the reinstallation process. After reinstalling
your previous operating system, reinstall your programs and files.

You may want to consider upgrading rather than downgrading.
do not downgrade, if you don't have WIndows XP software.
you can not dowgrade Vista to Windows XP.
copy all the data from your computer and store it on a DVD or CD.
inssert the WIndows XP, reformat and install, (just following the instruction on screen).
you can upgrade from WIndows XP to Vista, not the other way around.
Yes you will get all the drivers here http://support.acer-euro.com/drivers/notebook/as_4315.html However only Vista Premium and Vista Ultimate users can perform a direct downgrade. You can start a fresh installation from a bootable disk of WinXP. Be aware that this will replace the Vista with XP.
Well yes you can install windows xp without the FDD. But it will be best to first gather all the XP compatible drivers for your Acer Aspire T650 at this link http://global.acer.com/support/index.htm before beginning to downgrade your operating system, burn all your XP drivers into a Disk backup your personal file. Then you can begin the installation.
You can remove the existing partition on your hard disk, create it again and install Windows XP.
You need a Windows XP CD and the product code, and the device drivers for the audio, video, modem, LAN etc for your model laptop.
You need to install your programs as well, you have got a few hours work ahead of you.
This process will wipe out all your data, you need to back up your data before you install Windows XP.
If you do not know how install Windows XP, seek assistance from an experienced friend.
Actually you need to install chipset drivers first then you shoud try for additiona PCI driver like external sound card.
Try one thing again, go to your www.acer.com site and search driver as per your "Service tag no." not for model no. and download drivers for 'Chipset' and others as per your requirement.
I just got my 5720-4126 so once I had to test the Factory re-install (ALT-F10 at the ACER screen) and knew I could get back to where I started (Vista), tried to install XP from CD. It couldn't even see the disk drive :-(
