Flywheel is connected by a nut and compression . How do you release the flywheel after the nut is removed?
Remove the spark plug, and rotate the flywheel to get the piston to bottom dead center, then stuff as much pull cord rope inside as possible, obviously leaving enough hanging out that you can remove it later. Loosen the nut securing the flywheel, NEVER WITH AN IMPACT TOOL, AND ABSOLUTELY NEVER INSTALL IT WITH AN IMPACT TOOL, then by hand tighten it down to where the threads of the crank are just below the top of the nut, a little less than flush is perfect. Take some sort of wooden wedge and snug it between the flywheel and crankcase, while holding another piece of wood over the flywheel nut, strike the nut with a mallet or ball-peen hammer. Alternate between hitting the wood over the nut, and the wood wedge, and the flywheel will quickly separate, the crank is always a taper where the flywheel slides over it. It also has a "key" or sacrificial shear pin that breaks in the event of a jarring or abrupt stop, instead of causing damage to the much more expensive crank or in a larger four-stroke machine, the flywheel, but many two-stroke flywheels have the key molded into the flywheel itself, so if that becomes damaged, you will need to replace the entire flywheel, I would also at that point reccomend a new flywheel nut and engine seal on that side as well. Hope this helps.
You need to get a 2 or 3 jaw puller to remove it. The 3 is more easy to use if there is a place for all 3 jaws to grab. If you can only can get 2 jaws placed the placement is a little more tricky.

[email protected] HI GRYDERT your problem could be your on, off switch. This might sound funny, but switch the on off switch real fast several times, then see if you havee fire. If not check your spark plug. If you have a n
ew one try it. If that don't work check the connection at the plug to be sure it is makiong contact with the plug. If all this does't work you will have to go inside to the coil. They don't usually go ba d but it could. But first check to be sure it isn't grounded at the small wire from the switch. Good Luck.

Sounds like an overheating problem.
Are you working in a well-ventilated area or in direct sunlight?
Check, if you can, the temperature of the motor case.
You might have to take a break more often.
This hot summer has stressed a lot of motors and electronics.
When it shuts off you know it is trying to save itself from burnout.
if this machine ran ok before this problem, and no one has adjusted the carb, then i would check the crank seals.i have just had this problem.and it was the seal on the puller side, though i replaced both whilst i was at it.hope this helps my freind.

I have never seen a flywheel de magnitise, it will be an ignition unit problem

This was very common, they say it was because the screws were too long and prutruding through the nut the thread then gets covered in concrete dust and when trying to unscrew locks in the thread. You will probably have to destroy the cover to get it off.
