Question about NorStar M7208 Corded Phone

Compatability Issue? I have a single commercial line that does not work through the Norstar Compact ICS system. I have three other lines that work fine, but are from another source. The line will work from a buttset, but not through the system. Any suggestions?

    Any assistance would be greatly appreciated as the provider of the line believes it is adequate. I know the equipment works, but is this line compatible with the cards?

What port is the line in? You will have to look in system programming under maintenance. Look and see if the port is enabled or not?

Caller ID not working on Norstar terminal using line dedicated to fax and phone

You must have latest software to have Caller ID
You must have a Caller ID line card
Caller ID must be programmed on the phone to allow it
Caller ID signal from carrier is sent between 1st and 2nd call

FYI on the fax: Analog ports (ATA's) on the Norstar system do not show Caller ID, instead you would need to use a line share device that supports caller id such as the STICK.

Installed this NT9K08AD03 where a NT8B30AD03 was and the new phone does not work. Meridian Compact ICS 2.0

The M2008 set (NT9K08AD03) doesn't work on a CICS system. It works with the Meridian PBX systems. The type of sets that work with a Compact ICS system are M 7100, 7208, 7310, 7324 and T 7100, 7208, 7316, 7316e as well as some of thier cordless sets.

We have a Compact ICS 4.0 with five lines. The first two lines are lit up as if someone is using them but we've reset all the phones and they're still lit up. Is there a solution to this?

They're tied up in the system the best way to clear them is to unplug the power cord to the CICS and re- plug it in. The system will take about 10 seconds or so to fully boot up.

CICS trunk issues

When the incoming call goes off hook (the indicator lamp will be solid, not flashing), press the associated line button to see which extension, or device, answered the call. You can follow through from there.

How do I display my main number on all lines for caller id?

It's not in the maual, because it's not part of your phone system unless you have PRI trunks. On standard loop start central office lines, it's a function of the dial tone provider. Carl

Attendant still completes call after caller hangs up

Check and make sure that the disconnect clear time of ur Norstar is 800ms.

Norstar Flash problem

Cycle the power on the voicemail system. If that does not work, you may have to replace the voicemail power supply, or send the voicemail system for repair.

Norstar compact plus- can't get line access

make sure your wiring the co lines on the first 2 pins of the 66 then space 2 then lines 3 and 4.
