You have chosen the progressive scan option. In this option you will not get a composite video out to your TV using a single cable. you need to switch off this option by connecting the DVD player using three single cables namely Rr, Yy, Bb. this is possible only if you have this input option on your Tv. once you do this you will be able to see the display correctly and do the changes of switching off the progressive option. refer to the manual it is explained
i have a koss KS4102 system also and mine does the same thing. its done it for almost 2 yrs now. ive taken it apart and noticed that the sound is coming from under the heat sink. im not an expert at home audio, but my best guess is its either the amplifier going out, or some kind of processor. but i do know from past experience that its probably going to be cheaper to buy a new receiver, rather than paying a pro to fix it, if it can be.
What type of plug from the TV are you hooking up to the sound system? Its has to be a HDMI or a scart. If its not and your using the rca red and white. The reciver has to be on the synth surrond setting or look in the owners manual, it will tell you what setting the reciver has to be on when using a non surround set or hookup
