Remove stuck micro sim from galaxy tablet 10.1
We were going to do that, but with a closer inspection using a magnifying glass, we saw the contacts had come down in front of the edge, so we risked bending the delicate pins off.
My Dad then came up with the perfect addition to the above process. By cutting a similar sized piece of thin a plastic cover, often used in ring binders and available from staples etc, we pushed that in first, followed by the card. This pushed the pins up, out of the way, allowing us to remove the card without glue.
It would also work better this way if you did have to use a small smear of glue - to ensure the pins don't get any glue residue on them which would damage the connector.
