How to remove sim card from samsung tablet p5100 if got stuck

Even when the SIM card is fully inserted you can usually see a small section which sticks out of the metal housing. You should be able to gently (but firmly) ease the SIM out using a large sewing needle or something similar.

Did you download a new program or app before this happened? Try plugging sd card into a computer and delete any recent downloads and then try the card in your tablet again.

You may want to post to Tablet Category for a Tablet Expert and a faster response.

This model tablet supports MicroSDHC memory card.

We were going to do that, but with a closer inspection using a magnifying glass, we saw the contacts had come down in front of the edge, so we risked bending the delicate pins off.


My Dad then came up with the perfect addition to the above process. By cutting a similar sized piece of thin a plastic cover, often used in ring binders and available from staples etc, we pushed that in first, followed by the card. This pushed the pins up, out of the way, allowing us to remove the card without glue.


It would also work better this way if you did have to use a small smear of glue - to ensure the pins don't get any glue residue on them which would damage the connector.

CODE: Its the unique Unlock Code for your Samsung D780.

If it does not work, you can try these methods:
Method 1:

1 - Switch ON your Samsung D780 with a NOT ACCEPTED SIM Card.
2 - Samsung D780 will ask for "Password".
3 - Enter the Unlock Code.

OR (if the Samsung D780 shows "Insert Correct SIM Card")

Method 2:

1 - Switch ON your Samsung D780 with a NOT ACCEPTED SIM Card.
2 - Don't bother about what's being displayed on your Samsung D780.
3 - Compose : #0111*CODE#.

NOT ACCEPTED: We mean, to use a sim card from a network other than the network your Samsung D780 is locked to.
CODE: Its the unique Unlock Code for your Samsung D780.

If method 2 does not work, you can try method 2 again but this time without any SIM card on your Samsung D780.
