There are some tips to help you free up more space on your iPad:
1. Remove apps that you don't use often.
2. Clear up cache and cookies. Navigate to "Settings > General > iPhone Storage", where you will find a list of your apps and you can check exactly how much a specific app occupy your iPad space. Then enable the Auto Delete button to clean up the files and cookies.
3. Upload pictures and videos to iCloud, and then toggle on Optimize iPhone Storage.
You can transfer the photos from your iPad to the computer, then delete them from your pad to free up space.
