Where is the zoom button on my HP Pavilion F1703 17 desktop

I think you want to know how to zoom on a internet page ..and this is made by holding down the ctrl and scrolling with the mouse or the pad..For other applications ..the zoom is located under preferences..or options ..
For the desktop ..the enlarging and minimizing is made from the properties (click right on desktop and choose properties..or personalize for w-7 )..in there on settings you have the possibility to enlarge icons ..and fonts ..

Dell latitude d430. how to disable elan smart pad

To disable the pad completely, at the top of the keyboard there should be a button to disable it. If not, there might be a combination of Fn and an F1-12 key that enables and disables it.

If you're looking just to disable the gestures "Zooming", "Scrolling, etc. Go to Start>Control Panel>Mouse and then click the Elan tab and click the "Options" button below. From there, you should have access to all the settings.

Toshiba Laptop spontaneous font size change

Disable the dreadful "pinch-zoom" of the Snyaptics touch pad.
How it is supposed to be used is at
http://www.synaptics.com/solutions/technology/gestures/touchpad . However, I tried these "gestures" and none of it worked on my touchpad.

On Windows7, one can disable this poor excuse for a feature by going to Control Panel->Hardware and sound->Devices and printers->Mouse->Device Settings->Settings [button half-way down, on the right]->pinch zoom. Then uncheck "enable pinch zoom".

How do i turn off zoom function of synaptics touch pad Hp laptop

Are you talking about the two finger zoom by spreading your fingers apart on the touchpad to zoom out or pinching them together to zoom back in?
This works for Dell touch pads so below where it says ‘Dell touchpad’ it probably says HP touchpad?

· Goto your control panel
· Click on ‘Mouse’
· Click on the ‘Dell touchpad’ tab
· On the resultant popup screen, double click on the main touch pad region
· Click on the ‘gestures’ setting
· Uncheck the zoom
Good luck…Chris

Elimnate mouse

You are talking about the mouse-pad or also called track-pad, I don't think we have a spanish name for it. To disable clicking with your mosuepad (a.k.a. tapping) go into your control panel mouse options and you should be able to find an option that reads "enable tapping", just unchech the selection box next to it to disable this option.

Inspiron 1545 "t"key randomly opens new tabs

This is caused by the touchpad zoom feature; when it is enabled, brushing the touchpad registers a pressing of the ctrl key. Disable touchpad zoom and this behavior should stop occurring.

Touchpad

You can go to the Control Panel (Select the start button and then either "Control Panel" or "Settings" and then "Control panel") and double click the Mouse properties icon.

Then you can select the "Device Select" tab and check the box marked "Disable Touch Pad when USB Pointing Device is present."

That is also where you can permantly disable the touch pad by simply selecting "Disable Device" and "Disable Button"

Hope that helps.
