I had the same problem. Is it a "Karr" remote? If so, I think they use really cheap switches. What I did to fix this is opened it up, de-soldered the switch from the trunk release circuit, de-soldered the broken switch from arm/disarm circuit, and replaced it with the working switch. Works perfectly. If you don't own a soldering iron, I suggest you buy a new one or buy a better alarm system.

That happened to mine too. Is it a "Karr" remote? If so, it seems as if they use really cheap switches. I ended up de-soldering a working switch from the trunk release circuit and soldering it onto the alarm arm/disarm circuit. Works perfectly now. If you don't own a soldering iron, I recommend getting a new one or getting a better alarm system.

2005 Dodge Dakota alarm and key pad trouble

No i do not think you have electrical problem, try this.

Car in Park
Key on
push and hold unlock on good remote for 5 to 10 seconds
while holding unlock, press and hold panic, then release together
Listen for chime
press and release any button on all remote to be programmed.

If this will not work you need to bring the Vin# and remote to a dealer for reprogramming.

Remote key lock stopped working after wal mart put new battery in and now my head lights stopped workin!!!

check fuse for low beam, then possibly both low beam globes. they could have blown.
the key remote may need reprograming into system try put key in ignition in on position then press remote buttons a couple of times then try if no good need to go to dealer to be programed into system again or it needs repairing/replacing.

Remote key fob suddenly stopped work

Check out page 57 of the manual:

If that doesn't work, it sounds like a trip to the dealer.
