It sounds like you bought a counterfeit copy of the operating system if you bought it on Ebay it is a good possibility You request a Item not as described and get your money back then go to Microsoft.com and buy it there you will pay more but you will have the real thing
I don't know who "Zylar" is, but I will try and help you with this problem anyway.
You are getting a message that you are a victim of software counterfeiting because your version of Windows XP Professional that is installed on your computer is not a valid, legal copy. Someone has installed boot leg software on your computer and it cannot be registerd as a legal copy for you. If you want to solve this problem, you need to buy a legal copy of windows xp and install it on your computer. When you removed the counterfeit copy the pop up messages will go away.
If you mean that you have purchased a counterfeit copy, you'll have to go out and buy a real one. You could try to contact Microsoft. Many times they will sell you a real copy for less than street value if you turn in your counterfeit copy.
To temporarily bypass the problem you can do a system restore to a date before you started having the problem. If that does not work, boot to safe mode after downloading and installing HijackThis. Start Hijack this software (utility to modify registry values) and scroll down registry entries to the line that says “020 - Winlogon Nofity: Wgalogon - …” select it, and click fix checked.
If you think that your isystem is counterfeit and you had been victim of a scam you should contact the person that sold you the computer, and then contact Microsoft. See Microsoft Help and Support.
