How can I get a manual for MCP61PM motherboard?

I have a desk to pc with a MCP61PC motherboard, which does not work. I'm looking for the manual that will tell me the plug/pin layout, the type of the CPU/MEMORY CARD.

SOURCE: HP MCP61PM-HM motherboard diagram

Hi RobPu,
I have searched everywhere. I even entered a chat windows with Compaq & asked for a site to download the manual for Compaq Presario SR5015LA Desktop PC which has the motherboard MCP61PM-HM in it. (Nothing). This board was made by
ECS known as EliteGroup. Still nothing. Forms for the most part do not help, only with drivers. Drivers for the board can be found on Compaq's web site.
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/prodinfoCategory?lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&product=3411762
But the manual will not download. That's what is needed to hook up the front panel pins to you're case. I even looked for other possible boards who's layout was close to the MCP61PM-HM.
Nothing! I did find other Compaq PC's that also had the same board in it but after looking through the manuals, not one actuallys shows where to plug the front panel LED's on to the board. Why? Because Compaq does not support a user changing out their case for another. There is no money in that.
For the most part RobPu, system boards share some things in common. I am posting a picture for you. This pic is upside down for you so try & work with me here. Hook up you're LED's as shown. This should work for you. Pin 1 is you're starting point.
daa3370.jpg This is standard for ECS boards even if it's being sold by Compaq. Like I mentioned, for you it is posted unside down.
Try it, I'm sure it will work for you.

Enjoy!
If I can help you further, feel free to post.
Suggestions & comments welcomed.

SOURCE: pinning layout for Micro Star WS 6330 motherboard

Hi Hunter45,
Download the manual from MSI, click on the link below.
MSI K7T Pro MS-6330
You'll need winrar or winzip to uncompress the manual & you'll find there are 5, *.pdf files rather than just one for the hole manual.
http://global.msi.com.tw/index.php?func=searchresult&keywords=K7T+Pro&table=download
File name: 6330-1.PDF will show the MB layout. Page 1-4.
You ca see the 2 USB pins to the left of JMDM1.

Open file 6330-2.pdf, page 2-22 for the pin layout for the MB USB's.
If you need more information, post here.

Good luck Hunter45!

SOURCE: looking for the manual for my motherboard

It sounds that you have an ECS MPC16PM-AM mother board. If it is, then visit http://www.ecs.com.tw and from the download section download the users manual. Such details are given in the users manual.

SOURCE: I purchased an AMD MCP61PM-AM MB SND/VID/LAN

Hi there.
Get a strong flashlight and a magnifying glass (if you have one). On the motherboard look for the front panel, it should be marked PWR and coloured green, also the plug that connects to it should be marked PWR_SW. On some boards there are no colours but the markings are the same, so a good close look.
Have a look at these pictures for an idea >>>>>>

Please post back with the results and any more advice if needed.

Good luck and thanks for choosing FixYa!!

Where do I get a motherboard for my gt5674

The issue is that like most manufactures Gateway "brands" their motherboards. You can find an ESC MCP61PM-GM motherboard many places, but if it is not branded you recovery software, or currently built hard drive will not work. With that said, there is a place that sells used/remanufactured "branded" motherboards.

Can this motherboard handle an am2+ socket? MCP61PM-GM

YES, AM2 processors will work on AM2+ motherboards and AM2+ processors will work on AM2 motherboards. However, the operation of AM2+ processors on AM2 motherboards will be limited to the specifications of Socket AM2 (1 GHz HyperTransport 2.0, and one power plane for both cores and the IMC).
