I have a set of two JBL Prx525 that I use in my local band. From the time we got them, they have emitted a hiss sound. The hiss is not present if no sound is being put through them, though. Say a keyboard...

The hiss is caused by the autooscillation of the internal amplifier. To fix that you will need to install some additional filtering capacitors on the power lines, a high frequency filter at both the input and the output of the amplifier (basically just a 100nF capacitor put in series with a 10ohm resistor between the in/out and the ground) and a new routing of the internal cables. Also check a ground loop on the cables.

JBL SR4732 amps????

I have a pair of these. Best audio thing I ever did. One amp as the the crossover is built into the amp. If you can find the compatible dual 18s then you'd need a second amp. Recently read a spec that they drop to 20 hz at 10 volts. So when you turn up the volume they rock with the bass truly showing a peak of their capability. These are just amazing. I originally used a crown xri4000. Just bought a Nad T 877 HT and when run only in stereo with QObuz, pretty incredible. Not the final purpose of this amp though. I may use the line outs to integrate the Crown Amps. Still getting an idea. So One powerful amp. You won't blow these out.

Bloon Fuses!

You don't need schematics to replace the fuses.
Open the speaker unit by unscrewing the back. The fuses are located near the on/off switch assembly. Replace them and screw the the unit back together.
To avoid blown fuses, try lowering the volume.

Jbl PB12 powered sub woofer problem

These subs have had many problems, all associated with the amplifier section. PB 12's with an "M" as part of the ser. no. were assembled in Mexico and these are the ones with the amp problems. JBL fixed mine and sent it back no charge, BUT it cost me nearly $100 to send it to them in the first place. I have another one that has had no problems at all. Try sending it back for repair. At best you'll get a rebuilt unit back, at worst a substantial discount from the company for a new sub.
