Oki b2540 mfp paper jam remove toner error - OKI B2540 MFP Printer

Good morning my printer okidata B2540 mfp not work anymore because the scanner installed on my notebook windows 7, it prints, but lost all other functions. so ask for help. Att WGS

There is little of paper in printer. Take the toner out and with very attention see, it must be in taht place, from where the paper going out, or that place from where taking paper, it can bee small paper.

You cannot clear the fax memory as its integral with the main memory. The only way to do it would be to wipe the whole printer of its memory and start again. Its not worth it. Just let it print them!

You need to get an auto switch box such as the Command Communications Comswitch 5500 it was what is called distinctive ring and that if the function you need. You can plug in your phone, fax machine, answering machine, etc. You can get them from Office Depot, Office Max, Staples and such.

Check the toners are not empty. The printer only estimates how much it thinks should be left, there is a possibilty one is empty. this is best done by removing each toner in turn and checking that the hopper in the drum is full to level with the sponge surrounding it. Next check are the toner sensors. These are small and located to the right of each toner cartridge in the wall of the printer, one could be dirty creating the error and not allowing the printer to start up completely, causing the scanner connection to fail and giving you "Failed to get printer information". On this model the scanner and printer are essentially separate units joined by a USB cable.
