SOURCE: COMPATIBLE GRAPHICS CARD WITH P5GC MX/1333 ASUS

Yes you can put a 1 gb card. The motherboard has PCI Express so you don't have to worry to much. The older AGP cards are almost gone.

You could buy a GeForce 8500, 8600, or 8800, or the 9 series. You can also buy a Radeon HD 5870 or 5570.

If you need further assistance, please post. And do not forget to rate.

ASUS P5GZ-MX: Cmos Settings Wrong - Tryed New Cmos battery and setting time a date howto fix ?

It may just be that the new battery needs to be charged. I would leave it switched on for 24 hours to check. If this doesn't fix the problem, it could also be a failing BIOS chip or the charging circuit for the CMOS battery has failed. If the BIOS chip is not socketed or the cmos charging circuit has failed, you will need to replace the motherboard or find an electronics engineer to replace the failed components, this will probably be more expensive that a new board.

Asus p5gc-mx can power up and i need to reset how to fix this?

test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions SATA

the leads from your ((motherboard to your hard drive)) make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty

make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd have secure connections and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty ?

even something as small as an electrical extension or a faulty fan lead can cause this problem computer needs all of the data and power to travel through every working device and to have an end for a computer to be able work properly

a motherboard and a hard drive any leads between them will fail before your motherboard or your hard drive check all electrical extensions make sure they are securely seated even the cd/dvd drives need to have current go through make sure these devices are working

also check your computer ram and cmos battery to make sure they are securely seated and the battery has plenty of charge Cmos battery on some motherboards are soldered in

hope this helps you

My pc is not booting even to bios says bios bad and can not locate floppy or cd rom drives is the board bad?

It really just sounds like your BIOS needs to be reset, so before you go and buy a new motherboard, you should find the CMOS battery on the motherboard (looks like a nickel) pop that out and leave it out for like 2min, then put it back in and try to get back into BIOS. You could also just replace the battery with a new one (it'll cost like $4 at the most). You can usually find them being sold in a store near watch batteries.

I have the P5GC-Mx/1333 asus motherboard. I set a password for bios a while back, but i've forgotten it. How can i reset it?

Remove the small battery for the bios settings. It's a round type like this:

Leave the motherboard some minutes without battery. Replace the battery after a while, start up and get into the bios, load set up defaults, save and reboot, get into the bios and make any settings you wish (date, time e.t.c.)

In case of a problem or clarification, don't hesitate to post me a reply before rejecting my answer.

Chasis intruded ,after changing cmos battery also the sameproblem

Either jumper the chassis intrusion header on the motherboard with a striaght jumper(like you'd find on a hard drive), or, easier, somewhere in the bios setup you can set Chassis Intrusion detection or reporting to disable.

I have encountered the same problem. Mine has something to do with the RAM. I replaced my memory and it solved it. Try checking your CMOS battery, it might need replacement as well. I hope this helps.

Cannot install winxp on asus p5gc-mx/1333

probably ur ram is faulty..replace with a standby n see..
also check for defective capacitors on the main/mother board..
reinstall os..

dis also do happen when ur cd/dvd rom drive is down or the cd frm where u r installing is corrupted..

the above often take place with some error message(s)/blue screen..
but if there's no such displaying, esp if hangs/stops/power off during installation, it may b caused by the main/mother board or even the battery..
..contact ur system admin/vendor....
