SOURCE: brand new vivitar 5018 keeps showing insert memory

Vivitar cameras are known for there inability to function normaly. Alot of these and many more problems I have encountered are manufacturer problems and can not be fixed on your own. the best thing to do would be to contact Vivitar and see if they can give you a refund or replace it. it is best to call but as I do not know the number here is a link to their website. What size SD card are you trying to use?
Since this is an older camera, you might be limited in the size of the SD card that it will accept.

My vivitar Vivian F128 won't turn on. The red light flashes, screen starts, everything shuts off. I've recharged batteries, bought new rechargeable batteries & got new AAA lithium batteries. Nothing.
