The piece that you need is referred to as the coupler. The coupler is a breakway part that is designed to shear and/or wear down in the event that the blender is overloaded. This is to avoid damage to the motor.

The coupler may be purchased individually and is an easy repair that can be done at home. You may purchase the part and access step-by-step replacement instructions at the following link:

I have an older Waring blender, model WF1112218. My problem is I took it apart to clean it and now can't figure out how it goes back together. Is it rubber gasket then rotor or the other way around?

Hello, Carla -

For all electric blenders the rubber gasket is placed between the glass or plastic blender container and the rotor with the blades.

The assembly is easy to recall when one realizes the rubber gasket is the seal for keeping liquids leaking out of the blender.

See the image here (it's for a Black and Decker, but the assembly is the same):

The image here shows the assembly for a Waring blender (different model than yours):

We have a Black & Decker BL9000 blender. On top of the base, there is a plastic disc that meshes with the bottom of the jar and drives the blades. I think one of the kids was making smoothies and...

Available replacement parts can be found here:

http://www.directpartsandproducts.com/blenders-bl9000-c-1_4_60.html

or here:

I have not seen the drive gear made available. You could try making an inquiry with either of the above sites to see if they can locate a replacement. Alternatively contact a local small appliance repair shop; they may be able to scavenge the part from another blender.

The black rubber part that the glass sits on had broken right of the housing. Can a part be ordered or do i need to buy a new blender

It is very easy to fix. You will need a new coupler, which is part number 9704230. There is a set of instructions with video here:http://www.kaparts.co.uk/Howtoremoveablendercoupler/tabid/219/Default.aspx The part is available on Amazon as well as many other sites.

Plastic pieces on glass jar and base are worn out and shaved down

I did the same thing. Order parts at thegourmetdepotco.com -- This problem is caused when you put the rubber gasket underneath the blade instead of above it. This causes two problems: 1. It lifts the teeth on the jar away from the teeth on the drive gear, which can grind down and break off the teeth, and 2. If the drive gear contacts the rubber gasket, it will melt the rim of the drive gear. In the future, to reassemble the jar after cleaning, first put the rubber gasket on the jar, then the blade, lastly screw on the base ring.

A blender parts

You can most likely find all kind of blender parts at www.thegourmetdepotco.com. I just bought a Krups blender rubber drive gear from that online store. It's the best lowest price, compared it to Amazon.com too. Try it.
