My R4i suddenly stopped working

For some reason after I played an original game on my DSi my R4i wouldnt open the roms. It did go into the menu though.

P.S: REMEMBER THAT ITS AN R4i ON A DSi.

The R4i does NOT work on UK (PAL) DSi consoles. I bought an R4i card last week and it will not work regardless of which software kernal is loaded onto it. The website I bought it from have offered to replace it with an Acekard 2i which DOES work with UK DSi's.

Nonsense!
The R4i card works with every DSi from any region, the problem you are having is because you have updated the firmware on your DSi, either by using the internet update utility or playing a recent original game which will automatically update the console before allowing you to play it.
The new firmware from nintendo is not compatible with the current R4i software however if you update the software on your R4i card aswell this will fix the problem!
In future I suggest that you do not update your DSi until you are sure that it is compatible with your R4i card!

I'm afraid the R4i Gold card is a fake, and if you've updated your console to the latest 1.4.2 or 1.4.3 firmwares it's unlikely to work. Check out R4 DS Revolution Cards at www.r4dsrevolutioncards.com (info site) to differentiate between different versions of R4i cards and make sure you buy a genuine one!

A lot of the fakes will indeed work when you buy them but as soon as you update your console they'll stop working. Make sure you buy a real one in the future to avoid frustration!

My R4I card has suddenly stopped working any advice? It comes up with loading then just freezes on the games screen. It will not let you go up and down to chooose a game.

It sounds like card instability if you can get to the menu. Do you know if what you got was a bad fake? A genuine <a href="http://www.dscardworld.com">R4i SDHC</a> be rock solid and serve you well for the long term. You can pick one up at a reliable vendor like www.dscardworld.com

My daughters new dsi wont play r4 card but it plays fine on my dsi

If your Daughter as been on the internet with her dsi, she will not be able to use the r4i, because if you update your dsi, it will stop her playing games with a r4i on her dsi, if she as dont update yours because it will do the same.

cause DSI is the nintendos attempt to stop R4 card users! see the r4 and GnM cards made nintendo invest in a microsd slot! so try using that card with the dsi instead of the R4 as people now are hacking the micro sd slot to allow any ds rom to be played! faster then th R4 due to the fact that the micro sd is connected right to the motherboard of a ds game slot devices such as R4

I'm afraid that your DSi has had an updated, likely to be included with a rec3nt game that has been played on the DSi - even though your firmware is 1.3e it has the same protection as 1.4e. I have this issue also and i only bought mine last week. I have a DSi and the card is for a DSi. During glame play it froze so i turned it off and back on and then its saying theres no card inserted in the DS Game card slot.
I have a DSi version 1.3A <does this make a difference?
