Question about Pioneer PureVision Pro-1000HD 50 in. HD-Ready Plasma Television

Horizantal lines I have a 4yr old 50" Pioneer Elite PRO1000HDI plasma tv. As of recently we have been experiencing horizantal lines, which are almost transparent,moving from the bottom up,at about 16-18"apart. It seems like they are more prominant when set is on for long periods.

That is called hum-bar and that is interrfirence with eletricity make sure you have tv plug separeted outlet and also can be a bad cable and splliters and make sure you do not have amplifaer or busster on cable system call you cable provider

Had same problem with my PRO1000 - faint horizontal bands moving from bottom up (sometimes sationary). Turned out to be nothing more than some signal interference from a PC I had plugged into the VGA moniter input on the TV. As soon as I disconnected the PC, the bands disappeared. Hope that helps...

Pioneer Elite 1140 HD not working : reds light blinks 4 times


Four blinks of standby light to Plasma TVs, denotes a voltage output failure from its main power regulator board. Check this link for more. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ Pull up older posts there. Blinking codes to most Plasma TV brands will be similar. Check them. Pioneer brand is also there.

Power supply board is dead.The board where the power a/c cord plug into it.Replace the power supply board.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

Pioneer Elite Plasma TV 2-yrs old loses color randomly.


Would need model number to search properly. On some sets a capacitor "C2601" of Y-Drive assembly contacts the audio bracket and it is damaged, can cause a abnormal picture.

you will need the other cables. Hd tv won't work with the old school hookups. rca jacks' can sort out those frequencies

TV keeps shutting off automatically


Since your plasma is less then a year old, I would suggest to contact the manufacturers to get it fix under warranty. If the plasma keeps shutting off by itself, that is not normal and should be repair.

This a factory issue and usually requires service. Most cases it is a bad power supply caused by a surge or powering off and on too fast ... sorry I wish I had better news
