Your compressor was designed to produce 11.8 acfm at 90 psi turning neer max rpm (depending on pully combination between 800 ~1100 rpm ) with max pressure of 135psi. At 3600rpm the engine is producing max hp of 5 to 5.5. More power would not really produce more air without potentially destroying the compressor pump by over-reving. If your compressor is not functioning properly you will not get good air flow. Check instruction manual for time period to fill tank from empty. Could be 2 ~3 min. It is takes longer then problems. You can tell how your pump is doing by periodocally checking the length of time to fill tank. The next size range of gas compressor is about 8~9 hp with four cylinder pump and will deliver about 17 cfm.
