Toshiba md13p1 can't get radio shack universal remote 15-2104 to program TV

Unfortunately, the buttons on the TV only control basic operations of the DVD player. You'll need a replacement or universal remote that matches the features of the original DC-FN20S remote. you have to scan threw the tv in the menu to get the channels to show up

The remote code 0142 worked for my Toshiba MD13P1.

what type of remote do you have? model? brand?

if you have a universal remote try their website, you can also try hitting the power button on the remote severl times(maybe hundred) intil your tv turns on, then hit the enter button, this will program the tv...
