Question about Whirlwind FH-778 Air Conditioner
Can I add Freon to this unit without adding valves, or are the valves already there?

SOURCE: adding freon to my central air
Well duprees, first you got to have the right instrumentation for charge freon to a a/c system, now, the charge line is the thick line, wich it means the suction line, the colder line, or the most robust line on the compressor.
Then, the system uses freon 22, the right charge, with the system on and the compressor running is 68.5 to 70 psi.
This should give to you about 40 degrees(farenheit) at the evaporator, the panel that gets cold in the system.
This pressure should be at the low side, meaning thicker line in the compressor unit.
Hope this help you......

Go to the supply house and ask for an in-line tap! SSSSSSSSSShhhhhhhhhh(the mechanic might had connected the wrong end of the hose,(one end has a hole and the other end has a valve stem depresser to depress the valve stem to let in-out freon.. Or the older type, you have a king valve and has to be turned to open or close the ports!) ssssshhhhhhhhh!!

My advise call a tech.
EPA performs random inspections in response to citizen tips pursuing potential cases against violators. The EPA is authorized to assess fines of up to $32,500 per day for any violation of the Clean Act regulations.
Always take a wise decision.
