SOURCE: Can't open the wrist watch case

Use a Testor's razor knife with eye protection. Use as much of the blade edge as possible. The Testor's blades are fairly strong and thin and I have used them on many Skagens before. I have had some Swiss cases with no gap or tab and the tightest tolerances and the Testor's hobby knife blades were the only hope and solution. Please use care and eye protection for any repairs or service of this nature. Things break and fly off with great force. Including the blade of a knife or razor knife.

SOURCE: no watch setting directions

Some of the inexpensive watches like to mimic the expensive watches and put fake dials on the face of the watch. That way you get a Breitling look alike at the price of a Timex. If there don't appear to be controls for the dials, chances are that they aren't real dials, Look closely.

SOURCE: Can't get the back off the watch to change the

Take your watch to a dealer in that brand. I'm guessing that your watch has square notches around the underside. The dealer has a special tool that will fit into these notches and the back will twist off as it is threaded onto the watch, not pressure fitted into it.

SOURCE: I have had this Relic

there is a pin that holds the leather band on. if you have a thin knife, or exacto knife you can slide the metal away from sides and it should come off. be careful. then there is a notch that comes out on the back that you can get the knife under to pop off the back. the pin is like a spring for dont force it or bend it. i just changed the battery in my watch. there are two batteries in there, so i would change both at the same time.

If it is indeed a screw type back it will have indentions ON the back (6 to 8). A special tool is required to remove the back without damage to the watch back. Any reputable jewelry store should be able to remove the back. If there are no indentions then it should be a pop back. Some watches do not have a slot to slide a pry tool under the back. You have to use a sharp knife..taking appropriate safety precautions.

How do u open back to fix an fossil black 5 atm fs-4351 hand watch

Jerry, If its smooth on the back cover, you have to pry it off carefully. Get a magnifying glass and look around the cover edge, there should be a small under cut. Pry at this point with a penknife blade or similar. If the cover has 6 or 8 small indentations in it then it likely unscrews but you may still need to see a watch shop for the tool to unscrew it.
Fossil watches have a 2 year warranty so if its inside this, take it to a dealer.

I have a logoart watch with eagles logo that takes a 377 battery. Does the back screw off or pry off to replace the battery/

Look for indents in the back of the watch they will go all the way around. If the back has indents it is a screw off and you will need a special tool probably cheaper to go to a jeweler than buy it. If there are no indents then the back will pop off with a pocketknife (carefully!), look around the edge for the lifting spot! hope this helps!

How do i open back cover

Some watches have a press on stainless steel back. You can tell that it is this type if there are no indented notches around the back for a spanner tool, and if there is a small indention on one of the edges up near the band that will take a prying tool to unsnap the wedge fit. The other types with the 6-10 indentions around the back are generally for water proof watches. this takes a jewelers spanner to unscrew the back being mindful of a sealing gasket around the screw threads, if this gets broken or elongated, you must put a new one in to seal the watch.

I have a timex ironman watch that I bought about 5 years ago and I need to change the battery and I need to know how to get the back off

If there is a small indentation on the back plate, insert a very small screwdriver to pry the plate off. Then you'll find your battery.

If your backplate has 3 indentations, then you'll need a special tool, which sets into all 3 indentations and unscrews the back.

My suggestions to you is to bring it to any jewelers, even department staore jewelers and they have everything there, they'll even change the battery at no extra costs.

Fossil ch2360 can not figuare out how to get to the battery

mcdevito75 here, Most Fossil Watches have a press fit back cover. First locate ant tab, or indentation that is on the back cover linning up with the case itself, Carefully use a steak knife under that tab or in the indentation, slot in the cover abd pry up. From there you may need a jewlers screwdriver to loosen the battery hold down plate to remove the battery. BEST BET, look for a small watch repair shop in your area to change the battery.

How to open ebel watch 1157F11/0225 for battery change

If it has three indentations for a tool, then it is a screw off case back and you need a tool. If it doesn't have then it is a pry off and maybe you can do this, but be careful and not hurt yourself if you use a tool like a knife. I use a special tool to pry off. Your do this under the case and against the corner posts for the band. Hope this helps, lots of luck

Identify first if it is a "screw on back" or a "pop off" back. Screw on backs have multiple indentions on the caseback where a special tool fits in the grooves to twist it on and off. If it is a screw type back then you will either need to buy a pricey caseback wrench or take it to a jewelry store that changes watch batteries.
A pop off back will have a smooth caseback with no indentions on it.
Most of these are "pop off" backs. to pop the back off get a very sharp blade and apply pressure at about a 30degree angle between the case and the caseback on the underside of your watch. From there you should be able to pry it and it should pop right off. Another way is to put a razorblade between the case and caseback, tap the blade with a small hammer (lightly!) and then pry the back off.
